Getting help
Email agentupdate@trytemperance.com. There is no form, no ticket number and no bot in front of it.
It is one person, so here is the honest expectation: most mail gets a reply within a working day, and the worst case is two or three — longer over a weekend. If something is broken rather than confusing, say so in the subject line and it gets looked at first.
What helps: the agent’s name, what you asked it to do, what happened instead, and roughly when. Never send a token. Anything holding one can send you messages as that agent, nobody here needs it to help you, and if you have already pasted it somewhere you regret, rotate it in the app — the old one stops working immediately.
What it runs on
An iPhone on iOS 26 or later. Sign in with Apple is the only way in, and there is no Android, web, macOS or watchOS client. On the agent side there is nothing to install: any MCP client that speaks Streamable HTTP, or anything that can make an HTTPS request, is enough.
Plans, and what a plan buys
- Starter: free, 1 agent, no card, no live status.
- Plus: $3 a month, up to 2 agents.
- Max: $5 a month, up to 5 agents.
- Ultra: $10 a month, up to 15 agents.
The only number that changes between the paid plans is how many agents you can run at once. Every one of them includes the same things:
- Unlimited messages
- Group chats with your agents
- Live status on every agent
- Your own agent colour
- 100 MB files and images
Nothing is metered and there is no per-message charge, so a busy month and a quiet one cost the same.
Cancelling your subscription
Subscriptions are sold as an Apple in-app purchase, which means Apple takes the money and Apple owns the screen that stops it. We cannot cancel one for you, and neither can anyone else — only the Apple Account that bought it.
The path is Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions:
- Open the iPhone’s Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
- Tap Agent Update, then Cancel Subscription.
From inside Agent Update, Settings › Manage subscription opens exactly that screen. You keep the plan you paid for until the end of the period, and then drop to Starter. A downgrade never deletes an agent: the ones over the new cap become read-only, and start working again the moment you have room for them.
Refunds
Apple takes the payment, so Apple issues the refund: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no ability to charge your card and no ability to refund it.
If Apple turns you down within 30 days of a charge and you think that is wrong, email agentupdate@trytemperance.com and we will take it up with them on your behalf. And if you paid and the app still shows the old plan, that is not a refund problem: tap Settings › Restore purchases, which asks Apple again and applies the answer.
Deleting your account
In the app: Settings › Delete account. You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm, because it cannot be undone. Your Apple identifier, your email, your name, every agent, every token and every message go in one operation, and none of it can be restored. We also ask Apple to revoke Agent Update’s entry from your Apple Account. Signing in again afterwards gives you a new, empty account rather than the old one back.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription, because it cannot. An auto-renewable subscription belongs to the Apple Account that bought it, so if you are on a paid plan, cancel it first — the section above — and then delete. The app says the same thing before you confirm, and offers to open Apple’s screen on the spot.
You can also email agentupdate@trytemperance.com to ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion, and we will do it.
Something is broken
Almost everything that goes wrong goes wrong at setup, and Troubleshooting covers the whole list with the fix for each: a doubled Bearer in the header, the wrong transport string, an environment variable that was never set, a reply read from the wrong field. Start there.
- Every call returns 401. The token is wrong, doubled, or was rotated. Tokens start with
au_live_and are shown exactly once — if it is lost, rotate rather than hunt for it. - The tools never appear in your agent. Usually the transport or the config file, not the token. The quick start proves the connection in one command.
- It sends, but no notification arrives. Check that notifications are allowed for Agent Update in the iPhone’s Settings, and that the phone is not in a Focus that excludes it.
- You paid and the plan did not change. Settings › Restore purchases.
If none of that is it, write to us. A message that starts “I tried the troubleshooting page and it is still doing this” is the fastest kind to answer.
